It was a pretty boring day at work today and nothing of note happened. I did make arrangements to take off on Friday. As soon as I got home Jen and I left for M&T to meet a bunch of friends for dinner. While we were driving over there we encountered a bunch of traffic and it took a while. Chris called to announce that he and Katie were going to have to cancel. He sounded a bit stressed so I think that he and Katie were having a bad day.
When Jen and I arrived at M&T, Scott and Lynne were already sitting at a large table outside. We joined them and ordered some cheese and wine. Lisa called Jen to cancel. Everyone was dropping out! Our wine arrived. It was a 2005 Argentenian Malbec and was pretty good. Scott ordered a second type of fancy cheddar cheese that was really hard. I like hard cheeses and this was no exception.

About an hour later Katie and Chris showed up after all. They looked a little frazzled but were in great spirits. I'm glad that they came. We all ordered food - sandwiches and salads). We all had a great time and spent another hour or so talking and enjoying the day.

As we were leaving, I took some photos of Katie and Chris for them to use at their wedding for guests to sign a framed picture of them. The background wasn't that great, but I used the 50mm to get in close and blur the background. I think it will look pretty good.

Scott came over to our house to hang out some more. We watched some episodes of 'Ask a Ninja' and had a good time with that. Eventually Scott left. Jen and I opened a bottle of fetzer Merlot and I processed the photos I took so that Jen could get them printed tomorrow for Katie since she is under a time crunch. It was a good day.
