Yesterday afternoon I had a telephone interview with a potentially new employer. It went well and they asked me to come in for an interview on Friday morning.
We were having the new china buffet delivered sometime today so Jen’s dad was nice enough to volunteer his time to come over and take delivery of the buffet while Jen and I were at work.
I didn’t leave for work until about 10am. I already paged Carole to let her know that I would be in late. Jen got home around 1:30pm.
Because I went to work late I stayed late. Carole told me that I could take the day off tomorrow given the long hours that I’ve been putting in recently with all of the production problems. This actually worked out quite nicely considering that I have an interview tomorrow morning.
I got home around 6:45pm. Jen stopped at the Vinings Banana Republic and bought me a new suit. I don’t currently own a suit because honestly I’ve never needed one.
Jen did a wonderful job. The suit she bought me fit like a glove - no alterations needed at all. It also looks awesome. I’ve never seen a better tie too. I was taken aback by the incredibly expensive (for me) price. It was about $600 for the whole setup. In fact, it took me several hours to get over the high price of the suit. Even with that said, Jen did an absolutely fantastic job with it, especially with such short notice.
Shortly after I got home, Katie and Chris came over for dinner. Chris helped me out with putting the buffet together in the dining-room while Jennifer and Katie worked on dinner. We didn’t finish putting it together but got about half-way done.
Dinner was great. We had the highly successful pork loin again, with the same topping of red & yellow pepper, garlic, olive oil, and other spices. We also had some succotash. I don’t care for succotash because it has lima beans in it and I hate lima beans.
Katie brought desert which were chocolate cupcakes with caramel. I loved them!
