I was pretty tired-out today so after I got home I laid down for about twenty minutes. Shortly after that, Jen got home.
We headed out o the brick & mortar T-Mobile retail store in Cumberland Mall. It was a pretty horrible experience. Pretty much every time I’ve been to a retail cell-provider store, it’s been filled with people who want or need to pay their bill in person.
This is a strange concept to me. Why would one want to constantly go into a store, wait in line for a long time, and pay their bill in person? It also seems to me that a lot of them are a bit vagrant-like.
As a result of all these people paying bills in person, we had to wait a while to get some help. Jen and I were really prepared as we were told that in order to port the number, we both need to be present and we need to have two forms of photo ID. So we brought with us our drivers licenses and passports.
We didn’t need any of those. All I had to do with verbally give the guy my SSN and he did everything on the computer. It’s sort of confusing because all he did was call up T-Mobile and initiate the port over the number with just that little info. Jen and I tried to call T-Mobile to port the number but they said we had to do it in person. But when we did it in person, the guy never verified our identities and did the same thing we did. What a waste of time!
Afterwards, we went to dinner at Houston’s. That was a very pleasant experience. We had a bottle of wine and an appetizer to start. Jen had the peanut chicken salad and I had the evil jungle Thai salad. It was spicy but sweet. We like Houston’s very much!
Later this evening Jen woke up around 3:30am and decided that she couldn’t sleep!
