Jen and I had been eating out a lot lately and were pretty tired of it (besides, it gets pretty costly eating out a lot). We decided to stay in and make dinner today.
After dinner we finally got around to watching Star Wars Episode 1: The Phantom Menace. It was fun to watch on the larger television with the fancy surround-sound setup.
Jen told me that she was reminded about how much she hates the ‘Jar Jar Binks’ character. I informed her that someone actually made an edit of Star Wars called the ‘Phantom Edit‘ in which all scenes with ‘Jar Jar’ have been removed.
I liked watching it again. The pod-racing scene sound effects were especially cool on the DTS sound output across all 6 speakers. We have one more to watch before we can go see episode 3 in the theater.
