I got to work around 8am today and immediately worked on the integration deployment.
Alex, Casey, Brian, and I went to an incredibly long lunch. We went to the Southlake Mall area to Roadhouse Grill where I stupidly ordered the ‘all you can eat baby-back ribs’. They tasted like crap. The only consolation was that I ordered an ‘ice cold coke‘ which came in a huge jar-like container.
After lunch we went to the Verizon store so Brian could get his phone fixed. They told him that it would be thirty minutes, so we left the store and walked over to Circuit City. We looked around for a while and I was happy to see the price of ink refills for my model of printer were actually affordable unlike most others.
We didn’t get back to work until around 1:30pm. I felt so guilt for being away so long. As soon as I got back I worked on the integration activation and that all went well.
Next I created a fun graph illustrating ticket retriever performance and sent it to the DBA guys as well as Bob C for review.
Being that it was a Friday things were a bit slow. I worked on my inbox email cleanup. I managed to go from about 850 emails down to 350. I left work at 4:30pm.
Jen came over shortly after I got home. We planned on going on the silver comet trail but Jen was hungry so we focused on eating instead. We decided to go over to Publix to get stuff for dinner.
As we went over to the store I noticed that Jen was in a very happy and playful mood. This made things very fun and we had a blast shopping together. I absolutely love times like this.
We bought stuff for sandwiches and salsa. Back home we made sandwiches and margaritas. While we ate, we ordered a Pay-Per-View movie (Paycheck). I had TiVo record it so we didn’t have to watch it right then. It’s a lot more convenient than going to the video store (which there are none nearby).
Before watching the movie we somehow got involved with framing pictures. We hung up five framed pictures (with one or two pictures in each frame) in my bedroom. It took much longer than I expected but the result looked phenomenal. I was very happy with the results.
Afterwards we watched Paycheck. It was a horrible movie and so incredibly predictable. I guess my expectations were too high. Despite that we had fun watching it together.
