ATL-PWM

The flight to Portland, Maine went very smoothly. Michele and I were able to get airport-listed at the Delta ticket office in the Hilton hotel next to my office. The security line through the airport wasn’t too long and when we got to the gate (D28), the agents had our boarding cards waiting for us. Fortunately both Michele and I got to sit in the first-class cabin. We ate cheese-stuffed chicken with carrots, a hot roll, salad, and chocolate cake. I had two crown & cokes too. I love first class!

The Portland (PWM) airport is small and easy to get around in. We had no trouble at all securing our car rental reservations with Avis. Since I’m an ‘Avis preferred’ customer, they had everything ready to go and all I had to do was flash my drivers license and we were done. The car we got was a little intermediate-sized car. It was amazing how different it felt driving a small car low to the ground compared to my Ford Explorer.

We drove about thirty-five minutes south of Portland to Wells where our B&B (Beach Farm Inn) is located. We didn’t arrive until about 10pm. Everything was how we expected it to be. The room was a little small but it was fine for us.
