Summer was good. From when school got out, till July 1st I lived with Craig. He and I worked trimming trees. I also worked with Adam a little painting. The second half of my summer was spent in Atlanta with mom and dad. I had nothing to do at all. I should have gotten a temporary job, but I decided to sit at home and play on the computer instead. I played on Toril (formerly Sojourn before Lloth and Labelas split apart into two separate muds. Lloth owns Toril, and Labelas (Cython) owns Duris.) I played with my Bard, Noke. I got him up to level 47. I had a lot of fun time and a lot of bad times. While I was staying with Craig, I also played on Toril a lot at night.

I met a woman on the mud named ‘Nepenthia’ She is a bard like me. We spent a lot of time together on-line talking and adventuring. I might have been doing some ‘real life’ stuff, but very few opportunities arose for me to do that.

I’ll write more tomorrow.

I had my alarm set to go off at 8am so I could go eat breakfast. I decided not to go, however because I was very comfortable. I went to my CS310 discussion class. All we really did was go over adding and subtracting binary numbers. French class was hell again. I don’t know I should do about that class. I try so very hard to go good in that class, but nothing seems to work. I feel as if I just can’t get it. We had a quiz in my M408D Calculus discussion class. I can tell right now that I won’t like the TA. She has this ‘bitchy’ attitude about her. I hope things improve with that class.

I didn’t go to sleep till about 5am last night, playing the damn mud (Duris). I woke up at about noon today. I skipped lunch and went to the SMF computer lab to play on the mud and to look some stuff up on the web. I came back home with Chris (who as also at the SMF working on his homework). The two of us were planning on going out for dinner at Bennigans, but I couldn’t find it, and I didn’t have much time because I needed to work. I decided that we should have Chinese. After dinner I went to work (I worked 6-8pm tonight). And this is where I am now. I need to work on my Calculus homework, study for my French Exam, and do my CS homework. Hopefully I’ll be able to do that as soon as my shift is over. I would also like to play on the mud some too. I’m playing now on Duris mud. A while back, Sojourn split into two muds (I can’t remember if I already wrote about this). But Duris is a lot of fun and I am really enjoying playing my Halfling Sorcerer. I just hope it doesn’t get too addicting and suck too much of my time.

It was hard waking up today. I didn’t even have to wake up until 9:15 for my CS class. I went to class, and tried to pay attention. I think I will like that class. I seem to be interested in what its about. I learned today why the bytes for hex values were always ‘reversed’ when I would edit files. It has something to do with the processor architecture. After over 8 years of doing that, I learned today why it was like that. Calculus was pretty boring. I hope I can get interested in that class. French was the same. I don’t know what I should do. I’m going to try to get focused more in that class. Tennis was fun. I watched an Asian guy and his girl-friend get in a fight. He was pushing her and yanking her. I was considering saying something, but she ran off from him and joined her tennis partner. He was matched up against me. After only a few volleys, he talked to the instructor and went to his girl-friend and they left. I was then paired with some other guy, but that didn’t last long. We were told to go to a certain-number court and play a tie-breaker game. The first game, I was matched up against a red-haired girl. I won, so I moved up. The next game, the guy I was up against was a little egotistical, and it was a close game, but I lost. The third game I was against a short girl who seemed a little sarcastic. It was another very close game (I really need to work on my backhand), but I lost. There is one girl in that class that I would like to talk to more and try to see if she wants to play a game, but I don’t know if I have the courage to ask her. I will make a point to try to on Monday. After tennis I came back, took a shower, and went to dinner with Kumar (My roommate). I logged onto Toril and saw Nepenthia. Its all very bizarre. I’m going to end this now and get to my schoolwork.

I’m really seriously considering saving up money I make form this job (the computer lab (5.68/hr)) to upgrade my computer. The prices are so low right now that I could afford it. The job is great too, especial when I work in Simkins. almost no one comes in, so I can play my music and do my homework. What it boils down to is that I get paid to study. What a concept. Maybe I’ll try to convince myself the more I study, the better I will be doing my job.

I decided last night before I went to bed that I would sleep through my CS discussion class at 9:30am. I did indeed do that this morning, and didn’t really wake up until about 10am. I was up till 2:30am last night talking to Linda (Nepenthia). Psychology class was fun, the professor, Lewis, is a very good teacher. French was a little better. I wasn’t paying enough attention to the teacher though. I couldn’t help myself from starring at this one very attractive girl who was sitting close to me. She had the ‘plastic’ look about her, and the pouty lips that gave me visions of a spoiled childhood. I still started to fantasize about her though. I was surprised that it was so hard to keep from doing that because I don’t really find people like her too attractive because they are snobby and ‘fake’ looking. They look too ‘bred’. I think I’m more attracted to someone of natural beauty. Its hard to explain here, but hopefully I will know what I mean whenever I look at this in the future. The whole reason why I keep this journal is for myself. I want to ’store’ all of the experiences I have from day to day, because I KNOW I will forget about the majority of them. I only hope I really hope that everything works out in the future for me. I hope I am secure enough in life that I can sit down one weekend and pull this file up and read it. I need to make more copies of this, and a weekly backup to a third source.

Tomorrow is Friday! John and Corie (John’s girlfriend (John Billimek my cousin that is)) invited me, Kumar (my roommate), Chris (my friend down the hall), and Craig to all come to Corie’s apt. tomorrow at 7pm for a ‘pre-partyzilla party’ Then after her party, we will all go to the Texas Union and enjoy the festivities there. I hope its a lot of fun.

Chris has been playing Duris for about a week now. He is a level 16 Gray Elf Sorcerer there. As of now, I’m a level 22 Halfling Sorcerer. The game is fun, but I hope I can manage my time around it better.

That’s all for now I guess. I’m working tonight in Simkins from 6:30-midnight. I have planned and I still plan on doing a lot of homework and studying.

Its been ten days since I’ve last written here. Yesterday was the UT - Notre Dame football game. UT lost by a field goal that ND scored in the end. Larry and Amy came into Austin to see the game yesterday. They stopped by and visited with me for a little while. After the game, Chris, Kumar and I were hungry and went to Taco Bell. After that, we hung around the room for a bit and then went to Craig’s apt. to play AD&D. We played from about 8pm - 3am. I had a pretty good time, but one of the guys that went with us, Jeff, was also a DM (Chris was the DM for this game). He had a very egotistical attitude about the whole game, making it less enjoyable for the rest of us. Craig and I made some Strawberry Daiquiris with Vodka and Kiwi fruit in them. I had about two and a half, and also Craig and I did a short of Vodka with a lemon juice tracer.

Today was very quick and un-eventful. I woke up at about 11am, and went to Brunch with Larry, Amy, and John. Larry gave me back my Erasure Pop 20 hits CD, and my Ice Cube single CD. Larry also gave me four or five shirts, and a pair of sun-glasses he bought in New York. I really liked the way those sun-glasses looked and was happy that he gave them to me.

Linda and I talked for a little bit on the mud, but not for too long. I’m at work right now. Oh, By the way, I went to Spaghetti Warehouse for Dinner with Kumar and Chris. I had the Veal Parmesan. It was very delicious. Kumar is still having an attitude that I don’t care for.. but I guess that is the way Engineering people are.
