I know I haven’t written in this for ages. I just have not had the urge to. I had a very good Christmas at mom and dads. I would elaborate on my whole Christmas vacation, but I don’t feel like it right now. Perhaps I will talk about it on a less busy Journal entry date. I’ll also do some catching up on everything in January and the first part of this month I hope. Hopefully I’ll have a good reason to be writing in this more often now. Yesterday, Friday, I drove to San Antonio with Tara Hernandez. The reason why I went to San Antonio was because Craig was coming into town and I wanted to spend some time with him. The great thing about the whole trip was that it seemed almost spontaneous, and I need to add more spontaneously to me life. I drove up there, taking Tara with me at about 2:30pm. This was right after my Calculus class, so I threw some clothes in a duffel bag, and off we went. The drive down was pleasant. Tara and I talked while listening to good music. I took along some Depeche Mode, U2, New Order, and Cause & Effect. After we got into San Antonio, we went to Craig’s house. Craig was sleeping, but woke up. We talked with him for a little while, and then made plans to meet him back at his house after about two hours. I took Tara to her house and I went to visit mom-mom and pop-pop. Chris and Wayne were at their house to eat dinner. They asked me to stay for dinner, but I had plans with Craig. After visiting them, I went back to Craig’s house to prepare to ‘go out.’ We waited quite a while for Chris and Tara to arrive. Then we decided that we would go to the river walk and find a nice restaurant to eat at down there. The people who went were: Craig, Meilee, Chris, Tara, Brian Gunn, and Myself. We drove down there in Craig’s car. Chris and Tara went in Chris’s parents truck. We got down to the River Walk (parked in River Center mall) and walked towards Planet Hollywood. We saw a very long line of people waiting to eat there, but decided that we would wait no matter what. We waited about an hour total to eat. We sat in the ‘Adventure’ section (the second floor). The table was a half-booth, half-table part with two Chairs. We talked a while and ordered drinks. I had a virgin cooler named the ‘predator’. It was pretty good. We then ordered our food. Everyone except for Meilee and Tara ordered the BBQ Pizza. I, however asked for bacon to be added to mine. While we waited we talked and enjoyed ourselves. I had a great time, and felt very mellow and relaxed. It was a nice feeling. It was almost like the feeling I had when Craig threw that going-away party for me. This time, however, I didn’t feel uncomfortable being the center of attention. It felt almost like it should when you drink enough to get a good ‘mellow’ feeling. I had quite a memorable time Friday night. After dinner, we strolled back to the cars. We drove home, where Craig and I talked a little bit about relationships. It seems to me that Craig is trying too hard to find a relationship, but I don’t want to get into that at all mainly because it will require a whole lot of explaining, and might not be worth the effort if it is not going to have any significant effect on my life in the near future. Craig, Tara, Chris and I were planning on going to Enchanted Rock today (Saturday). But Craig over-slept (probably from the long drive) so we didn’t wake up until late. Craig was at a loss of what to do, since after calling Tara she couldn’t go with us. Craig decided to give a girl named ‘Karen Hendricks’ a call. He hadn’t seen her since the end of our Senior year at Taft. She was visiting her parents in San Antonio. She goes to UT as well. Craig had found out from her that her Friend and Her were planning on going to Medina Lake to take black and white pictures for their photography classes. Craig asked if they wanted company, and Karen agreed that we should come along. We had to wait for her to call us back, so while we waited we played pool on a miniature pool table. I won the first game by getting all of the balls in, and Craig lost the second by scratching on the 8-ball. After the game, Karen called us back to tell us that they were not going to go to Medina Lake. Craig insisted that we do something, so Karen suggested that we go to the movies to see ‘Mr. Wrong.’ Karen, Craig, Karen’s friend (Jenny) and I went to Westlakes mall to see the 2:45pm showing of ‘Mr. Wrong.’ The movie wasn’t too good, but on the way there and in the Theater, Karen and I talked, and had a lot in common and a lot to talk about since we both go to UT. After the movie we drove back to Craig’s house. When Karen and her friend dropped us off, Karen told me to look up her phone number in a directory that Doug (my roommate) would have. She said that we should go eat dinner sometime. I interpreted this to mean that Karen wanted to see me again. I am not going to dwell on this too much, because It might be a waste of time, and I might be over-reacting. I am very exited and anxious, however at the outcome. After the movie, Craig and I basically sat around his house and talked. Craig is trying to transfer to UT next semester, but is on a long waiting list to get a dorm room. I am not sure if I want to room with Craig or not. The reasons are too lengthy to go into right now in this way-too-long entry. I drove back to Austin at 6pm, and arrived in the room at about 7:49pm. I didn’t do too much, except for going to Burger King with Doug and Chris to get some dinner. After that I laid down. Larry called and was telling me about how him and Amy were looking through some Bridal Catalog since they are planning on getting married in June. It seems quite strange to me that my brother is getting married. Its not something that I’m prepared for (him getting married), I guess time is moving fast. I am going to end this entry here. I had a lot on my mind, and wanted to get it on here since the past two days were nice and memorable.
