Two-Month Recap

It has been over TWO months since I have written in this. I feel VERY bad for neglecting to do this. My whole character suffers when I can’t even do a simple daily job of keeping up with my life. I am only going to regret this in the future. In that time, I have experienced MANY things, things that I would want to know the details of in the future, things that HAVE affected my life.

On May 28th, 1995 I graduated from High School. That night I went to the ‘project graduation’ a drug and alcohol free party. It was from 10pm till 7am at a ranch in Bandera, Texas. It was a fun night, I got to see all of my friends whom I only wish I had an eternity to spend time with. Time is such an evil, but necessary thing. Time is SO precious, to waste even a fraction of a second is very, VERY bad. My whole time in High School has many good memories, and yet, I know that I could have made it better, as everyone would probably thing. If we had a second chance, we would ‘make things right’. Although this might not be true, as I saw an episode of Star Trek: The Next Generation where Picard was given a chance by ‘Q’ to relive his youth. Picard said that he ‘regretted’ many things he did, but when he went back, and made things right by being more cautious, the future for him was very bleak and boring because he had always lived the paranoid life. A person needs many different experiences to shape their personality.

Right now as I type this, I have head-phones on and am listening to Rush “Power Windows” Music that before I said that I hated when Larry used to listen to it. But listening to it now only reminds me of all the good times I had with him and the time was spent, and so I listen to it only for the memories. Music has such a WONDERFUL aspect of locking in the essence of the time and the activities that we do that is very important to listen to as much of it and as much variety as you can.

I will try to remember some of the events that happened and record the essence of them in future entries. And now onto today: Today I was awaken by a knock on my door, it was Deneise, the cleaning lady, she asked if she could have the bed sheets. It was already around 9:45, so I decided to wake up. I got up and used my computer, doing some mantinence things with Windows 95 (build 480!). I set up the SLIP networking and send Dad some e-mail. I sent him the lottery numbers for Thursday nights drawings. After that Craig made some SPAM sandwiches. We were going to go to work, but decided that it was too late and too hot, so we would wait for the evening. I had to be at Circuit City at 3:30 to let them install my new Car CD player. My portable Discman, tape adapter, two CD’s (Catching up with Depeche Mode, and Achtung Baby) along with the CD carrying case were stolen from Brian’s car, the scumbgs had broken his window, taken HIS stereo, and my CD stuff. Brian said that he would re-imburse me, and I told him just to let me pay the difference of a new car CD-player. I ended up spending $200, as the total bill was $400.

After getting that installed, I came home. Brian, his Mom, his Brother, and his Brothers friend showed up so we had take-out bill millers bar-b-q.

Today I was awaken by Craig knocking on my door at around 10:00am. We went to work as soon as he woke me up. We only trimmed two houses and then went to lunch with Craigs dad after that at a very good bar-b-que place called Casey’s. After that we went home and I called Grandma to offer to mow her lawn, but she said that he brother? Harold has already done it. She told me that Grandpa will be coming back home tomorrow. He will be sleeping in a hospital bed. I also left some E-Mail to dad. I said that I will call him tonight. Larry called me from work, he told me that I was very welcomed to his new place, and I am going to try to make an effort to go up there to visit sometime after I get back from my trip. Larry told me that he will mail those Quotes of Wisdom he made for me for graduation today. I am looking forward to getting them, as I look up to him and I could use any advice that he gives. After I got off of the phone with Larry Craig, Adam and I went over to a house on Brook Green to move a refrigerator over here. When we got back I watched Adam play that new game, called ‘WarCraft’ that I got a few nights ago.

I notice from reading through my older entries that there are a LOT of punctuation, grammatical, and spelling errors. I do not write that bad, but when I write these journal entries, I don’t go slow and I rarely backtrack, so what I type is raw and unrefined. I am debating weather I should leave it as it, and look sloppy or correct all of my mistakes.

Last night I went with Craig and Adam to Fiesta Texas. It was fun.

I spent the rest of the day playing WarCraft. Craig went out ice skating with Jill (Aubree’s little friend (She will be a freshman next year)) and her other little friend, who will be going into the seventh grade.

I didn’t wake up until about 11:45 this morning, that is pathetic. I took a shower and ate the Beef Flavor Ramen Noodles for lunch. Right after eating lunch, and watching a movie on TV I went to NTW (National Tire Warehouse) to get my car checked out. I didn’t get there until about 3:30. They told me my back wheel bearings were bad and they fixed it. I waited four hours for them to finally be done with my car. It cost me $102 to get it fixed. I only have about $11 cash with me, all my other money is in the bank, partially un-accessible. Craig was gone when I got home (about 7pm) We had T-shirt’s for dinner, I ordered the BLT. I watched the Orlando-Houston game. Houston won in overtime. I got the PLUS! Pack build 111 too. I didn’t go to bed until about 3:30am.

Craig and I didn’t work today like I thought we were because we had to go Down-Town to get his speeding ticket taken care of. Craig was going 80mph in a 55 (on 1604). The courthouse was scummy, and so were the people. When we got back I sat around and did nothing, as usual. Craig left to Jill’s house (ugh). Chris came over right after Craig left. He said that he is really enjoying the summer session at UT. I envy Chris in a way because he is getting so prepared for that, but I feel sorry for him too because he has to do this before he can even get into UT. The reason why he is going to this summer session is so that UT will accept him in the fall. I got a letter from Larry, the one on the “Thoughts for life” There is some very good things in there. I do that that is a good graduation gift, and I look forward to more of them that Larry can give me. I played Tennis with Oliver and Brian at nighttime (about 9:30pm). We were going to go to Taft and play on the Taft tennis courts, but there was a LOT of people there, so we went to Zachary instead. I love tennis, I only wish I was better at it. After tennis we went back to my house and Oliver and I played Chess. I won both games suprisingly. The first game wasn’t very good, but the last one was perfect. The second game was very intense with a lot of good moves on both parts. There was a lot of threatened mates, and a good game overall.

Craig woke me up at about 9:15am. We trimmed one house (Woodridge Forest). After that we stooped for the day. Craig went out to go take care of his ticket. Adam and Brian came over after that and Adam and I played Warcraft over the modem. Adam defeated me. Jared came over and I helped him with his C program. After Jared left, I played Rise of the Triad with Brian. After ROTT, we ate dinner. And after that we went out to 7-L. We came back and retired.

I woke up fairly early. Chris came over shortly after I awoke and brought me the registration form for the TASP test (the TASP is a silly test I must take in order to be admitted to a Texas State College). I filed out the whole registration form, as I had to mail it today. Mrs. Woodfil called and told me that she had a check for $30 for me from her neighbor, Dean. I wrote a simple login and logout program for him that will prompt the user to enter their name, and it will write the time and date that they logged in. When they are done, they must type ‘LOGOUT’ and it will record the time and date they logged out. After going over to Mrs. Woodfil’s house to get that check, I joined Adam and Brian to lunch at Subway. I had a BLT Deluxe. Right after that I came home and made preparations to go to the Mall. I went to the Bank (San Antonio Credit Union) to use my ATM card to withdraw $50. I couldn’t get a refund on those pants from JC Pennies because the policy is only for 7 days. I should have just RETURNED the pants and then bought them again. I didn’t think of this until just now, so it is too late. I got dad a Fathers Day card and 30 thank-you notes. I went to mom-mom and pop-pop’s house after that. They invited me to go to dinner with them at New Asia, a Chinese restaurant. I had the sesame chicken. I stopped at the Stop and Go right next to the restaurant to get a $26 money order for the TASP. When I got back, I went to Albertsons to get a book of stamps. On my way home from Albertsons, I turned around and went back because I forgot to get a disposable camera. I got that and came home. After getting home I packed some. at about 8pm I realized that I could withdraw money from my bank using the ATM card, and then go to Best Buy and buy a portable CD player so I could have something to listen to my music on. I called Brian and asked him if he wanted to go with me. As we went to the bank, it was already about 8:40. It was too late to go to Best Buy but I thought I could make it to Circuit city. unfortunately, Adam paged Brian and wanted to be picked up from the wedding. I had to forget my chances of getting a CD player because it was already too late to even go to Circuit City (Best Buy and Circuit City both close at 9pm). I came back home and finished packing and cleaned up my room. I will be going away for two weeks on Vacation to Colorado, etc. I am taking pen a paper to write my journal then, and copy it to the word processor here when I get back. I am looking forward to this trip and know I will enjoy myself. It is 9:48pm so I better pack some more before we leave for good.
